i emailed this trck about a month ago and finally recieved a answer here is the email i was sent.

Hi Jack,

It is finally here!!.. You've asked us and we are delivering!

Mini Moto Track Time will be available every other Monday from 4pm to 8pm (dates listed below).

First set of Mini Moto Event Dates:
15th February
1st March
15th March
29th March
12th April
26th April
10th May
24th May

No need to book, just turn up with your moto with your full safety kit and once you've had your safety briefing, you are away.

Up to 4 solid hours of track time!!! What a bargain!...

We understand not everyone is lucky enough to own their own moto, so we are happy to welcome sharing amongst your friends. Its simple, you pay £25.00 for the first rider and then £10.00 each rider after that.

There will be a track side marshall to keep an eye on the event, however all riders DO participate at their own risk!

Looking forward to seeing the two wheel demons at the track soon!

If you need any further information, or wish to discuss, please contact us by either phone on 01623 556553 or email: enquiries@kurburgring.co.uk!

The only question left to ask is ...

ARE YOU READY??

Yours sincerely

Dannielle Holmes

jibberwobble
12-02-2010, 04:36 AM
Not a god by any means but it's got to be somewhere in the 6/68 - 6/74 range. knowing nothing of the track I would take a guess and turn up with 6/72 on a 4.2 or 6/70 proddy.

simsimmer
12-02-2010, 05:09 PM
I'll be there,Jonty666666 too.
Just spoke to the track and its a concrete surface with a special grippy paint! 450m long.
Its a brand new venue and are keen too have minimotos , there maybe some movement on the days and times too when it gets going and numbers increase.
So if you fancy a blast come on down and show some support:)

Went on monday and had a great time, only about 5 riders on the night but the owners are new to minimotos but very helpful.

Its a good track with a tight, very twisty part with hairpins leading onto a big sweeping corner then in to the banked section(wall of death stylee)!!

Had loads of grip when when confident with the painted surface (PMT B) and one guy(sorry forgot your name) had his elbow down..

Set up wise i had 6/66 on a 4.2 (14 stone)with my clutch coming in very low to save too much wear as its so on/off in the twistys.I think you could run upto a 74 rear..

The next session should be on till 10 but best give them a buzz to be sure, even different days and weekends could be possible if interest and numbers are enough:yes:!

Hi,i had 6/66 on my 4.2 there. That was a bit off but that's what was on the bike. I am heavy too but I still got round there ok. What I'm saying is don't worry too much about your setup as you will be fine on your gearing and tyres. Just have the clutch set quite low or you will destroy it!!
When you have been you can then make some better decisions about things.

Cheers Simon..

....?!....
03-03-2010, 11:57 PM

Been keepin an eye on this thread and think I will make a trip over with the Polini on the 15th. Been a long time since I've been out for a blast!

Sound like 6/74 will be the choice of gearing for us heavy riders;), but I'll take some extra sprockets to play with the gearing.
Have they got the transponders to get the timmings or did you stop watch it?

A....

grcpolini1
08-03-2010, 03:42 PM
transponder!! we took it in turns with it to get some times and i think they like us doing it!! :) see you on the 15th

grcpolini1

if i can get my front sprocket bit of a noob how do i change it from a 7 to a 6 is there a special tool ?

grcpolini1
11-03-2010, 04:03 PM
not realy you van take the housing off, put a screwdriver through the housing and bell then find a socket witch fits the sprocket end undo it! or if you have a sprocket spanner then use that.

you could also put it a vice being carefull not to over tighten the vice

....?!....
11-03-2010, 04:05 PM
so something like this tool and that will do it rite?http://www.tsunamibike.com/catalog/item/6241980/6206527.htm

Had a good night blasting round on the Proddie. Had to set up the proddie clutch to try to get it to work on this twisty, tight track but it seemed to work in the end with the lap times in the 33's. Well done Ian for the 32.7!:spinny: I couldn't get a couple of corners sussed in time which was cost me that 3/4 of a second! Doh! 6/74 on the proddie was ok.:shockeds:

Staff at the track where more than helpful!
The elbow down comp was a good laugh!! Had 2-3 off's trying to keep up with the elbow down master! Managed it once then bin'd it coming out of the slid. :twitchy:
Would be better with more riders there to keep the owners interested with the moto nights. Cag track, and you'll struggle with the proddies set up.

seriously fount the track a lot better in reverse

twin-turbo-kev
26-05-2010, 05:19 AM
I agree. Think they should run it in reverse all the time.

wtpash
26-05-2010, 06:34 AM
loads faster in reverse, find it runs abit quicker

....?!....
26-05-2010, 08:13 AM
i think at the next one we should ask them to run it that direction seems a little easier on the bike. if every one agrees that is though

twin-turbo-kev
26-05-2010, 05:10 PM
Count me in!!!

grcpolini1
26-05-2010, 05:17 PM

....?!....
27-05-2010, 09:29 AM
yeh if everyone can drop them a email asking them to run it in reverse hopefully they will, i carnt believe how much faster and flowing the tracked seemed in reverse

DEANO1988
27-05-2010, 09:40 AM
how strick are they with protective gear, ive been told i need a full racing suit which i havent got lol

....?!....
27-05-2010, 10:40 AM
have they ? i wore tracksuit bottoms and a hoody with helmet, gloves, knee pads, elbow pads only a couple of times, i wear leathers now but that seems strange that they have said that to you

DEANO1988
27-05-2010, 10:47 AM
i was told by a lad that went there so he might have got it a bit wrong.

....?!....
27-05-2010, 12:56 PM
yeh like i say i have rode in tracksuit bottoms and a jumper the essential you need are knee pads, elbow pads, helmet, gloves but if in doubt give them a ring they might have changed the rules im unsure

twin-turbo-kev
27-05-2010, 09:54 PM
All I wear is Zocchi knee sliders, Gloves and a helmet. Full race suit??? Thnik someones pulling your chain.

grcpolini1
28-05-2010, 08:57 PM
not every track needs a race suit but places like whilton ect you do as they wont let you on! after all you are doing 50+ mph

....?!....
06-06-2010, 04:21 PM

Yeah it's good especially when it's run in reverse.
Not a good night on sunday though because of the leaking roof.
Had to play dodge the buckets and had the bike slam into the barrier due to some water on track.
Bike hit barrier hard and caused it to drop all it's water!!!
