Set of t40's in the wet

Hi Guys,

How easy is it to run a set of t40 all round in the wet/damp?

Is there anything that I can do to get better grip?

And before anyone mentions buying a set of wets, I do not have the cash for that at the moment.

Hi the T40's are the same as the T4's and they are really meant for grippy dry tracks. You can use them in the wet but to be honest you will not get the lean angle/grip in the corners or the better braking as with the softer rubber compounds. You will not be as competitive as with the other racers using the softer tyres.

well i us emy t4 cut slicks they r o.k if u like losin the front end alot

Yeh pat but most people dont like loosingthe front end a lot.
Cubic, you really must save to get those wets, it is a lot safer.

well most people r usin junior (r) my mate says they have more grip than a monsoon in the wet but i dnt np becs i havent tried them

well i am sayin most people are using junoir r
which are r tyres (the same compound as the full wets )
but i think they r a bit cheaper plus u can run them in the dry

My t41's are getting ready for changing- i plan to replace them with the same (or maybe a t4 rear) but was wondering.....

Would well cut t41's be ok in the wet? i'm not in it to win races or nowt i just don't want to have to pack up a days racein cos of the weather ( can't afford wets and slicks).

My brother saved a fortune by having 5' wheels which run treaded tyres.

Is there a cut tire (exept juniors) i can use wet or dry?
