Cool Metrakit rear shock fitting advice

    Hi,

I have stripped my lads bike down and noticed that the shock (not the fancy adjustable one, just the standard one) looks like its mounted upside down. The writing is the wrong way up and the pre load adjuster is at the bottom by the swingarm rather than being at the top near the seat. Does anyone know if this is right or not and whether it makes any difference to the operation of the shock / handling?

    Cheers

    Ben

If Its a standard Metrakit shock, then the pre-load should be at the top

I thought it didn't seem right. Thanks for the speedy replies guys. Hopefully fitting it the right way up will improve the handling!

I think the previous owner who put the adult spring in for me put the shock in upside down by mistake. It has bolted in the right way round easy. I'm hoping my lad notices a big improvement.
