    Yeah get your own bike. Have your shoes got weights in? if not that may help.

    No they haven't, will that still be ok for my lad it his bike after all so I don't what to make it all about me!!!

    To be honest I dont know what the nippers usually run and I'm not an expert. It should be ok for you both to use the same set up though. Just a thought, in the past I've seen dads go out on thier kids bikes and because they are not going so fast they end up doing most of the lap with the clutch slipping (by not using full throttle) and hence when they do give it the beans its already too hot and wont bite, kevlar seems worse for this in my opinion.

    just a thought but you said that it was coming in at approx 7k, i take it that that reading was taken with you sat on it

    Yes thats with me on, never thought about it but would that mean it's coming earlier with a lighter person on it?
