    Which 2-stroke oil ???

Anyone got any recommendations on the best type of 2-stroke oil to use on a BZM proddy engine? I am using silkolene fully-synthetic at the moment, but the engine is still running in so at 25:1. Any advice greatfully received.

    Cheers

yup Rock oil Synthasis 2 but make sure you get premix as they do injection aswell... I've known someone run rock oil at 500:1 (measuring **** up) and it took quite a long time before the engine did eventually seize (like 6 months use) no wonder we couldnt get it jetted right though!

although really any modern 2t oil will be ok, but dont use Putolene, yes its cheap and people will tell you its the same stuff it isnt, its crap

and always mix at 50:1 even for running in (100ml oil to 5l petrol) and dont bother using hi octance stuff just regular unleaded

So it was you Andi why my eyes were stinging and we couldn't see the bottom corner by the afternoon!!! Always 50:1 even straight after a rebuild.

I use Silkolene Pro 2 premix.....always have and run 35:1 not 50:1, never had any less power than any one else and never had an engine seize either!
My piston and bore still look new.

even tracks stipulate that you should run at 50-1 at there venues why run any different?

Same as above, always 50:1. Rock oil is great although I'm currently using shell advance racing X which I like also.

I don't think you need to get maga silly with running in. Obviously gentle at first, big squirts of power are ok as it means more lube going through. Just dont let the revs get real high then suddenly shut off
